I'm Ilsa, the designer behind every project that leaves this studio.
I trained as an architect before moving into interiors, drawn less to how a building stands than to how a room makes you feel the moment you walk in. After four years designing within other practices, I started my own studio to work the way I always believed in: around the person, not the trend.
That means when you work with me, you work with me. Not a team you never meet, not a vision passed through other hands. I run every project from the first conversation to the last detail, because the whole method depends on listening closely to one person's story and carrying it through without losing anything along the way.
Founder's Note
I have always noticed spaces before anything else.
As a child, I paid attention to the way a room could change how people felt: how light, colour, texture, or even one small detail could make a place feel calm, warm, distant, or familiar.
That curiosity led me to study architecture. It gave me structure, discipline, and a way to understand space. But over time, I realised that what moved me most was not only how a space was built, but how it was experienced.
After four years of working in design, I founded Ilsa Khan Studio to create interiors in a more personal way. I wanted each project to begin with the person behind it: their story, their memories, their habits, their sense of comfort.
My hope is always the same. That when a client enters the finished space, it feels like something that was missing has finally found its place.
